The central government of India is changing the rules regarding motor vehicles. As of October 1 this year, the driver will no longer have to carry the necessary documents related to driving license, registration certificate, insurance and pollution with him.
However, for this, the driver needs to attach other documents including the driving license to the Digi Locker or M-Transport portal of the Central Government of India. Otherwise, you should keep a hard copy in the car.
The Union Ministry of Road Transport has enacted a new law in this regard. According to the law, several important documents, including driving licenses and electronic invoices, will be handled through the portal.
The notification reaching the state department of transportation and the traffic police says that a special machine will be delivered to the traffic police. If you give the car registration number on that machine, you can get the car information. As a result, you will get rid of paper problems.
Software has also been released. If any member of the police downloads the software and gives the vehicle registration number, then all the information will be available.
The new rules will also provide the ability to pay fines through electronic invoicing. As a result, it can be said that from now on the days of carrying a driving license or other car documents in the car are over.
