A full 201-member committee of the Awami Juba League has been announced. The committee was announced at the political office of Awami League president Sheikh Hasina in Dhanmondi on Saturday afternoon.

Previously, Juba League President Sheikh Fazle Shams Parash and General Secretary Mainul Hossain Khan Nikhil put the whole committee in the form of a proposal. The Awami League Secretary General Obaidul Quader accepted the proposal.

The names of 22 of the 27 members of the presidium have been announced in the Juba League committee. There are five vacancies. Among these 22 people are lawyer Mamunur Rashid, Manzur Alam Shaheen, Abu Ahmed Nasim Pavel, Sheikh Sohel Uddin, Dr. Khaled Shawkat Ali, Sheikh Fazle Fahim, Mujibur Rahman Chowdhury Nixon, Tajuddin Ahmed, Jewel Areng, Anwar Hossain, Shahadat Hossain and others.

Five people have been appointed as deputy general secretaries on the committee. They are: Biswas Matiur Rahman Badsha, Subrata Pal, Md. Badiul Alam, Barrister Sheikh Fazle Naeem and Md. Rafiqul Alam Joardar.

The Juba League was established on November 11, 1972 under the leadership of Sheikh Fazlul Haque Moni and under the direction of the Father of the Bangabandhu Nation Sheikh Mujibur Rahman through a youth convention in the auditorium of the Institution of Engineers in the capital.

This organization was established with the aim of involving young people in the struggle for the establishment of a secular, democratic and exploitation-free Bangladesh in the ideology of Bangabandhu. Through the long struggles and sacrifices of thousands of leaders and workers over the past four decades, the Juba League has become the largest youth organization in the country today.
