The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has promised that Nitish Kumar will retain the post of chief minister if the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) wins the assembly elections in Bihar. They are talking. The BJP leadership has said there is no room for doubt about it.

The Assembly elections in Bihar were held from October 26 to November 8. After the vote counting, the Electoral Commission announced the official results at the beginning of the day on Wednesday. It shows that the BJP-led NDA has won a total of 125 seats in the 243-seat pool. And the UPA led by Congress won 94 seats. 122 seats were needed for the majority.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s party has won the most seats in the NDA alliance, which has a majority in Bihar. He rated the BJP victory at 64 seats as a result of development. However, RJD, a member of the UPA opposition, leads in terms of seats, and in party polls, it has won the most seats in Bihar. RJD has won 65 seats. The condition of the Congress allied with the UPA is deplorable. They only got 19 seats.

Meanwhile, the BJP holds the highest number of seats in the winning NDA alliance, but JDU leader Nitish Kumar, who is in second place in the alliance, remains the state’s prime minister. Bihar’s chief deputy minister and BJP leader Sushil Modi made it clear Tuesday that Nitish would hold Patna’s post for another five years.

However, a section of the state BJP has demanded to be appointed prime minister in the seat search trial. Because the number of anti-Nitish among the BJP leaders in Bihar is not less. They are taking advantage of the situation to corner Nitish. It is also alleged that anti-Nitish leaders secretly assisted the LJP in defeating the JDU candidate in various seats. In Bihar, the NDA’s other two allies, the Hindustani Awam Morcha (Hum) and the Bikashil Insan Party (VIP), each won four seats.

Outside of the two main alliances, the CPI (M) has won the most seats among the other parties. The party won 12 seats. Apart from this left-wing party, the other two left-wing parties CPI and CPM won two seats each. These three left-wing parties presented candidates in a total of 29 seats. Although they are lagging behind, some Indian media have called it a “hit rate”.

Additionally, LJP and BSP each got one seat and MIM got five seats. Only one seat went to the house of the independent candidate. Source: Times of India, Anandabazar.
