Neymar’s tweet tells FIFA that he is not on the list of the best of the year

He had a great triplet the day before. However, FIFA’s annual calculation was based on the performance of the season. Despite failing to win the Champions League last season, Neymar was expected to be shortlisted for the FIFA Footballer of the Year award. But along with Robert Lewandowski, Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi they were elected by the highest governing body of football. The Brazilian PSG superstar explained on Twitter that the matter was not digested.

There was no doubt that Polish Bayern Munich star Lewandowski was there. Many football fans were watching Neymar in one of the other two venues. But Neymar didn’t get a spot on the list posted on his website on Friday.

Then he tweeted three times. What is to indicate FIFA. The footballer wrote in his first tweet: ‘Nothing happened in tennis, I’m playing basketball.’ He later wrote in another tweet: “I quit basketball, now I’m a player.”

The third tweet is the most suggestive. He wrote on it with an image of his embarrassed face: “Did this really happen?”

Neymar’s father and agent, Neymar Santos Sr., however, has no qualms. “You have always been the best for us,” he wrote on Instagram. For the club, the best players will be the most qualified.

Lewandowski is ahead in the top three. He won the treble last season with Bayern. Ronaldo has won Serie A with Juventus. He has become the second top scorer of the event. Messi has not had many successes for the club this season.

The ‘FIFA The Best Football Awards’ will be announced on December 16.
