The government has appointed a new director general of the library department, the jute department, the National Center for Scientific and Technical Documentation of Bangladesh and the chairman of the Bangladesh Jute Corporation.
The order was issued by the Ministry of Public Administrations on Monday night (December 21). Sanjay Kumar Chakraborty, Additional General Director (Additional Secretary) of the Narcotics Control Department, has been appointed General Director of the Libraries Directorate.
Waqf Administrator (Additional Secretary) SM Tariqul Islam has been appointed Chairman of Bangladesh Jute Corporation. Khulna’s additional divisional commissioner (additional secretary), Hossain Ali Khandaker, has been appointed general manager of the Jute Department.
Additional Secretary of the Department of Education for Health and Family Welfare. Sakhawat Hossain has been appointed Managing Director of Life Insurance Corporation. The Additional Secretary of the Department of Finance, Farhina Ahmed, has become the Chief Comptroller of the Office of the Chief Comptroller of Imports and Exports.
In addition, the Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Textiles and Jute, Sabina Yasmeen, has been appointed General Director of the National Center for Scientific and Technical Documentation of Bangladesh, Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Expatriate Welfare and Overseas Employment. Shahidul Alam, Executive Director of the Applied Nutrition Research and Training Institute of Bangladesh and Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Religious Affairs. Abdul Hamid Jamaddar has been appointed Additional Director General of the Narcotics Control Department.
Sheikh Mohammad, Project Manager for the Poor Income Support Program. Kabedul Islam has been appointed Additional Secretary of the Department of Statistics and Information Management. The additional secretary of the Department of Finance, Mofiz Uddin Ahmed, has been transferred to the Department of Financial Institutions.
