Myanmar has promised to keep it in doubt

As in the three previous meetings, Myanmar has reached an agreement with Bangladesh on various issues related to drug control. But in the end, Bangladesh is skeptical about whether the country will keep its word.

A meeting was held on Tuesday between the Bangladesh Department of Narcotics Control and the Myanmar Central Committee for Drug Abuse Control. Even then, the authorities are concerned whether Myanmar will remember the meeting. However, Ahsanul Jabbar, director general of the Department of Narcotics Control, said that Bangladesh had given Myanmar a list of secret yaba factories in the border area. Myanmar says it has cracked down on yaba producers in Shan, Rakhine and Maungdaw.
