The CID has recovered a skeleton from a hill at Kumira in Sitakunda, Chittagong. The skeleton was recovered on Saturday afternoon in a case filed in 2016. The idea of the CID is that the skeleton belongs to the missing young Salauddin (35) at that time. However, they are not sure if the skeleton belongs to Salauddin until the results of the DNA test are available.
According to relevant sources, Nur Islam’s son from the Dighirpara area of Sitakunda’s Kumira trade union district 4 Md. Salauddin disappeared on June 12, 2016. His wife Hasina filed a case at the Sitakunda police station. After investigating the case for two years, the police headquarters did not obtain any information and transferred it to the CID.
On August 13, 2016, the CID began the investigation of the case. At that time, the suspect in the same area. Although Alamgir (33) was arrested and sent to jail, he disappeared after obtaining bail from the court. But the CID continues to investigate. During the investigation, they discovered that the uncle of the murdered Salauddin had seen a skull while cultivating at the foot of the Musa Kumira hill. They buried this skull in the premises of the Hammadia Mosque, the family cemetery, on the idea of Salauddin. It was not possible to speak with his uncle about the CID as he had gone abroad. On the 3rd of this month, Musa came to the country from abroad.
On the other hand, the CID arrested the accused Alamgir on Saturday morning after learning his whereabouts through secret sources. Finally, as part of the investigation, CID inspector Sharif together with Musa and Alamgir, who had recovered the skull, made a search of the place where the skull was found and a skeleton was found underground.

After the investigation, the CID learned that Alamgir had spoken with Salauddin for a long time the day before the incident. As a result, he was suspected. He added that Alamgir was a notorious criminal. He has been jailed more than once for various incidents, including murder and rape.
