The President of Nepal arrived at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka around 10 am on Monday to attend the centennial of the birth and Golden Jubilee celebrations of the nation’s father Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. There, President Abdul Hamid greeted him with flowers. Vidya Devi Bhandari received a red carpet reception at the airport’s VVIP terminal. He was met 21 times with artillery fire. When President Abdul Hamid arrived at the reception with the President of Nepal, a well-equipped team of three forces provided an honor guard.
Minister of Foreign Affairs AK Abdul Momen, Minister of Health Zahid Malek, Minister of Railways Nurul Islam Sujan, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Shahriar Alam, Minister of State for Women and Childhood Affairs Fazilatunnese Indira, Cabinet Secretary, Secretary in Chief of the Prime Minister, Chief of Staff of the Army and IGP were present at the airport.
This is the first visit of a Nepalese president to Bangladesh. He is accompanied by the country’s foreign minister and secretary, as well as high-ranking officials.
