Maulana Sultan Ahmed, 50, muezzin of the Sylhet Civil Surgeon’s Office mosque, fell ill and fell on the road after the call to prayer. Although he was lying on the road until twelve thirty, no one came to help him on suspicion of being infected with corona. He died after a long fall on the street in front of the Office of the Civil Surgeon.

Hundreds of people lined up in front of the Sylhet Civil Surgeon’s Office at noon on Sunday (September 20), witnesses and relatives of the deceased said. The Corona test was being recorded for those traveling abroad. At that moment, Maulana Sultan Ahmed fell on the street in front of his office. After the Azan of Johar on Sunday, he suddenly fell ill and fell on the road. He was on the way until twelve thirty. He also called people several times. But no one came forward on suspicion of being infected with corona.

No official-employee of the Office of the Civil Surgeon was aware of the matter at first. Later, Sushil Mohant, a security guard from the Civil Surgeon’s Office, with the help of some people, brought MAG to Osmani Medical College Hospital. They took him to the hospital in a GNC autorickshaw, but it was too late. He died after being transferred to the hospital.

Sushil Mohant, a security guard at the Office of the Civil Surgeon, said Maulana Sultan has been the muezzin of the mosque for about 20-22 years. She had suffered from high blood pressure for a long time.

He added that Maulana Sultan, a father of two sons and a daughter, lives in Kendua upazila of Netrokona. He lived in the premises of the Office of the Civil Surgeon. His family members live in the village house.
