The government has decided to reopen the movie theater, which was closed due to coronavirus, after about seven months. The Ministry of Information has given permission to screen the film in cinemas across the country starting Friday.

However, Madhumita, Dhaka’s traditional movie theater, is reluctant to open a movie theater now. Iftekhar Uddin Nowshad, the director of the company, told NTV Online that he would not open a movie theater unless he got a new, good quality film.

Nowshad said: ‘We don’t want to go back to the previous place. The above situation means that you don’t want to see a movie theater without spectators. Shakib Khan should have opened a movie theater with a good new movie.

‘Brave Hero Alam’ will be released on Friday. Nowshad claimed that if such images were released, the audience would flee further. The opening of the movie theater … should have been with a good quality movie. The movie theater needed to open up with a new Shakib Khan movie.

In the current situation of Covid-19, the permit has been granted by the ministry subject to keeping at least half the number of seats in the movie theater vacant, ensuring adequate hygiene and social distance.

Due to the corona outbreak, all movie theaters in the country were closed on March 16. The industry has to face huge economic losses as visitors cannot enter the room.
