Pranab Mukherjee was born on December 11, 1935 in the village of Mirati near Kirnahar in Birbhum, West Bengal. Kamadakinkar Mukherjee, the first man of the house, fought for the freedom struggle for many years. He was imprisoned for ten years. Pranab Mukherjee is the son of that Kamadakinkar. Pranab Mukherjee was a student at Vidyasagar College, Suri, Birbhum. His subjects were political science, history, and jurisprudence. After graduation, he worked as an assistant professor at Vidyasagar College. At one point he also did journalism. He worked for a few years in a newspaper called ‘Desh Dak’.
From a young age in the in-laws, Pranab Mukherjee has been vigilant in all the ups and downs of Indian politics. His contacts with Congress are familiar sources. In 1979, he joined the Rajya Sabha for the first time as a representative of Congress. He was then a member of Rajya Sabha from 1985 to 1999. In 1973, as the Union Minister of Industrial Development, he presented himself as an essential leader of the National Congress. Pranab Mukherjee, a history, law and political science student, has been India’s finance minister for many years. From 1972 to 1974, this responsibility earned him great international recognition. At the time, he was on the list of the top 5 finance ministers in the world. Pranab Mukherjee gave the pride that no one could give to the Bengalis before, which is why he held a place in Bengal history as the first Bengali president after being sworn in as the thirteenth president of the country. The son of a Bengali family from the village of Mirati in Kirnahar entered the palace of the President of India. Pranab has received many national and foreign honors throughout his life. Honored with Padma Vibhushan. Bharat Ratna received the honor. Pranab Mukherjee’s wife, Shuvra Mukherjee, was active from the beginning with her two sons Sharmistha and Abhijit. He served as President of India from 2012 to 2016. He is the thirteenth President of India. After 21 days of fighting on Monday afternoon, he breathed his last at the Army Hospital in Delhi. He was 84 years old at the time of his death. They paid their last respects to him in Delhi on Tuesday. The Government of India bade him farewell with State honors.
Pranab Mukherjee very sincerely cooperated in the political life in exile of the Prime Minister of Bangladesh, Sheikh Hasina. He was a close associate of Bangabandhu’s daughter, Sheikh Hasina. Pranab Mukherjee played a special role in the development of India-Bangladesh relations. During our liberation war, he tirelessly made diplomatic efforts for an independent Bangladesh in the outside world. The government of Bangladesh will celebrate a day of mourning on Wednesday 2 September to pay tribute to this genuine friend of Bangladesh. On Wednesday, the national flag will fly at half mast over all government, semi-government and autonomous institutions and educational institutions in Bangladesh, including all government and private buildings and Bangladeshi missions abroad. Special prayers will also be organized in the respective religious institutions.
