The body of BNP standing committee member Barrister Moudud Ahmed has arrived in Dhaka. His body arrived at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka at 7.30pm on Thursday.
Shairul Kabir Khan, a member of the BNP president’s media wing, confirmed the information.
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir was present at the airport, a member of the Standing Committee. Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain, Nazrul Islam Khan, Gayeshwar Chandra Roy, BNP Advertising Secretary Shahid Uddin Chowdhury Annie, Executive Committee Member Tabith Awal, Engineer Ishraq Hossain and others.
Shairul Kabir Khan further said that Moudud Ahmed’s body will be brought to his home in Gulshan from the airport. You will be kept in the Ever Care Hospital cold room overnight.
Moudud Ahmed’s body will be buried at Central Shaheed Minar tomorrow at 9 am. After the janaza at the Superior Court premises at 10 am, you will be transferred to the BNP headquarters in Naya Paltan. After Janaza, the body will be taken to Noakhali by helicopter at 11 am.
Lawyer Moudud Ahmed will be buried next to his parents’ graves in the family cemetery after Asr Janaza on the grounds of Basurhat and Companiganj Upazila.
Lawyer Moudud Ahmed died at Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore around 6pm on Tuesday.
