A motion of mourning has been tabled in the National Assembly for the death of Allama Shah Ahmad Shafi, Emir of Hifazat-e-Islam.
The motion to mourn was presented after the special session of Parliament began Sunday night. On this day, the first extraordinary session of the National Parliament in the history of the country began on the occasion of the Mujibarsh.
This special session was organized on the occasion of the centenary of the birth of the Father of the Bangabandhu Nation Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. Shirin Sharmin Chowdhury presided over the performance which began at 6pm on Sunday.
