Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) has removed illegal cables from more than 50 illegal shops and power poles in the capital.

The day-long mobile court conducted the operation on Monday as part of regular eviction activities. This was reported in the press release sent last night.

According to the press release, illegal cables from Sena Kalyan Bhaban in Motijheel through Ittefaq to the corner of Bangabhaban and Dhanmondi No. 3 to 9 / A were removed from a total of 40 power poles. In addition, the mobile court occupied the sidewalk in front of the Dhaka Medical College Hospital and vacated more than 50 stores.

At the same time, the mobile court inspected 30 facilities in the operation to identify breeding sites for Aedes mosquitoes. One of the two establishments was alerted to the environment conducive to breeding Aedes mosquitoes and the other was also advised subject to a link to improve the environment.

The three DSCC mobile courts filed a total of four cases on Monday and collected fines of 12,500 rupees, according to the statement.
