Commissioner of the Anticorruption Commission (ACC). Mozammel Haque Khan said the other parliamentarians wanted by the ACC will submit to the law as soon as possible.

Mozammel Haque Khan was asked about the investigation of 22 more MPs after a case was brought against Kazi Shahid Islam Papul and his wife Selina Islam in Kuwait on Wednesday on charges of money laundering and illegal acquisition of wealth.

Commissioner Mozammel said: “We are also working on other MPs who are under investigation. We will be able to give the result in time.

‘We stop at nothing. We try to meet people’s expectations that they will be brought to justice as soon as possible. There will be no delay in this matter. It will soon be ready. But you can’t tell the time.

When asked if the parliamentarians of the ruling ACC party would get any concessions, he said: “We have no party, we work above the individual. We act in the way the law dictates.”

These parliamentarians are accused of embezzling government funds, occupying Khas lands, taking bribes, taking commissions and other irregularities, and obtaining illicit wealth through corruption.
