An uncle raped his niece by giving everyone sleeping pills at his cousin’s house in Khulna’s Paikgachha upazila. The police arrested the uncle named Asanur Rahman. Asanur Rahman is a resident of Raruli village in Paikgachha.
The incident took place around 10:30 p.m. on October 4.
According to the file, Asanur Rahman went to his cousin’s home on October 4. At around 10:30 pm, he rendered the five members of the household unconscious by giving them sleeping pills along with liquid drinks. Later, her sister-in-law raped the girl while she was unconscious. They were all admitted to Paikgachha Hospital that night. Although the matter was kept secret in various ways, it was accidentally revealed.
Upon learning of the matter, the Officer-in-Charge (CO) of the Paikgachha Police Station, Ejaz Shafi, went to the victim’s home. The rapist was initially arrested after discovering the truth of the incident.
The victim’s father filed a case at the Paikgachha Police Station on Friday.
The CO said: ‘I have taken action as soon as I found out about the matter. I arrested the rapist and sent him to jail.
