Sylhet: Mohsin Talukder has testified in court admitting to threatening to kill off-roader Shakib Al Hasan on social media Facebook Live.
On Wednesday (November 18) afternoon, Mohsin testified under Section 164 before Sylhet Metropolitan Magistrate Second Court Judge Saifur Rahman.
Sylhet Police Officer in Charge (CO) Okil Uddin Ahmed told banglanews that Mohsin had given a statement in court admitting that he had threatened to kill the multi-talented Shakib Al Hasan. However, he could not confirm what he said in his statement.
He said copies of the statement could not be collected in court because there was no electricity.
The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested Mohsin from Ranashi village in Sunamganj Upazila East Pagla Union of South Sunamganj on Tuesday (November 18) morning.
According to the RAB, Mohsin hid in the haor behind the home of his wife’s older sister.
Earlier in the evening on Monday (November 18), a case was filed against Mohsin Taludar under the Digital Security Act. Deputy Inspector (SI) from Jalalabad Police Station Mahbub Morshed presented the case.
Last Sunday (November 15) at 12:08 pm, Mohsin appeared live from his Facebook account and threatened to hack Shakib Al Hasan to death.
Recently, after accepting an invitation to a Kali Puja program, the young man became upset when Shakib went to Kolkata and threatened to cut him to pieces. At that point, he began abusing Shakib in vulgar language.
Revealing his identity on Facebook Live, Mohsin said: ‘If it is necessary to kill Shakib, he will go to Dhaka on foot. ‘
