Born in a poor neighborhood. Dad was a driver. Panta Furoy condition to bring salt. The story of a young man who becomes a cricketer in such an environment is quite unimaginable. But with talent, effort and perseverance, he has overcome all obstacles and has advanced on the path of light. Everyone’s mind has been conquered. He rose to the limelight with IPL, then made his debut for India’s T20 team in 2016, also at ODIs two years later. After going through many ups and downs, this time young fast bowler Mohammad Siraj, who has a well-built body, also made his debut in white. India won the test against Australia on Saturday morning. He took another step toward the realization of his dream.
From the slums to the Indian national team. Siraj’s long journey was by no means easy. Today’s Siraj crossed the thorny path. The story of his rise also surpasses the fairy tale.
Siraj was born in Hyderabad’s First Lancer slum. He dreamed of becoming a great cricketer since his childhood. But the driver’s father couldn’t buy cricket equipment. Still, Mohammad Ghaus went out in search of fulfilling his son’s wish. Take Siraj to the Sports Coaching Foundation, two kilometers away. But he had no ability to pay there.
However, he asked his childhood coach, Saibaba, to take Siraj’s test. The coach was surprised to see Khude Siraj bowling. The coach told Siraj’s father: ‘Your son has great talent. Give it to me. The journey began from that day.
The childhood coach also gave an example of how brave Siraj himself is. He said: ‘While batting in the U-14 division game, the yorker landed on Siraj’s leg. After leaving the field, I saw that the wound site had turned blue with blood clots. I thought it is not possible for him to bowl in this game. But at five overs into our bowling start, I’ll say the ball came in all of a sudden. I said, think about it. The legs are still swollen. The stubborn Siraj landed on the field. He even took a small step and won with three windows.
Today’s Siraj is the result of the poor father’s tireless work. His first lime light came in 2016. He became a millionaire overnight at the IPL auction. Sunrise Hyderabad bought Siraj for Rs 28 million. Despite getting so much star fame, Siraj could not forget the days of old difficulties.
Recalling that memory, Siraj then said: ‘My father used to give me 80 rupees a day for hand expenses. So that he can practice and play games with him. This meant a lot to me for what he won. I used to spend those Rs 70-80 to buy gasoline for a scooter. Because that was enough for me. I knew where it came from. ‘
But for those who have done so much, the father is now in the land of no return. Siraj was with the Indian team in Australia last November. He receives the news of the father’s death at the end of the team’s practice. The Indian junta offered him to return to the country and support his family in this situation. But Siraj disagreed with that proposal. Father Mohammed Ghaus has struggled his entire life to earn money just to see his son in the country’s jersey. Keeping in mind his father’s dream, Siraj informed him not to return to the country.
Siraj’s strength of mind is perhaps her greatest strength today. With him is the blessing of an indomitable father.
