Explosion at Baitul Salah Jame MosqueThe explosion is not believed to have been caused by an AC explosion, but rather by a fire or sparks of methane gas at the Baitus Salat Jame mosque in Narayanganj. Lieutenant-Colonel Zillur Rahman, director of operations for the Office of Fire and Defense, who heads the investigative committee made up of the firefighters, confirmed the information to the Bengali Tribune by phone.
He told the Bengali Tribune that if the air conditioner had exploded, all the air conditioners would have been smashed. There were burn marks on the wall where the ACT was stuck. But it was not seen on the walls of the mosque. We inspected the floor and turned on the air conditioning and saw that 6 of the mosque had melted from the heat of the fire. If there had been an explosion of the air conditioning, they would have scattered or scattered in different places.

He added that an investigation committee has been formed. It’s only been 2 days since we started working. It will take a few more days. Talk to the local people. I will speak to the faithful present at the time of the incident, including the mosque committee.

Lieutenant Colonel Zillur Rahman added that initially there were several signs of a gas eruption inside the mosque. Gas eruption has been seen in the water adjacent to the door of the mosque. We found the existence of methane gas with the fire service gas detector machine. Initially it was thought that methane gas could ignite or explode like an electrical spark. But nothing is final yet.

However, another source from the fire service said that after the explosion, the amount of gas inside the mosque was measured with a gas detection machine and 19 percent methane gas was found inside the mosque. Where only 4 percent of the methane gas is present in the fire it can explode. 19 percent of methane gas was found inside the mosque at that location.

By the way, the explosion took place during Esha prayers on Friday (September 4) evening. Many people were performing sunnat and other prayers at the end of the obligatory prayers. At that time there were about 40 worshipers inside the mosque. Almost all of them were burned by the explosion. About 24 of them have died so far.
