Members of the police receive state-of-the-art operational equipment. As a result, they no longer have weapons or anything heavy in their hands.
On Tuesday, state-of-the-art operational equipment was unveiled at the Rajarbagh Police Lines Police Auditorium.
Where it says, the cops are putting on tactical belts. Through this, they will keep firearms, handcuffs, cordless, water bottles, etc. on the belt. This will leave them empty-handed.
Said the Inspector General of Police (IGP). Benazir Ahmed said police do not use heavy weapons for routine tasks in the developed world. From now on we also want to introduce that topic. It will be used for the first time in Dhaka and Chittagong from Wednesday. Then it will be introduced in all cases step by step.
He said this will allow members of the police to perform their duties smoothly. We don’t want the traffic police on the streets of Dhaka holding the radio in one hand and occupying the other. The addition of new equipment will move the wireless connection to the belt. Members of the police will be able to use wireless technology with a microphone attached to their shoulders.
Referring to the addition of operational equipment as a hardware change of the police, the police chief further said that in addition to this, a software change is also necessary. We want the behavior of the youngest to the highest ranking police officers to be exemplary.
