Mashrafe on the Awami League’s Environment Subcommittee

Awami League Secretary of Forests and Environment Delwar Hossain said the reason was to use his popularity to raise public awareness of the impact of climate change.

The former captain of the Bangladesh national cricket team, Mashrafe, joined the Awami League before the eleventh parliamentary elections and now serves as a Member of Parliament.

Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader approved a 100-member subcommittee on forests and the environment on Thursday.

Regarding keeping Mashrafe on the subcommittee, Awami League Secretary for Forests and Environment Delwar told bdnews24.com: “Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is leading with world leaders in protecting the world from the effects of Adverse Climate Change The Subcommittee on Forests and Environment is working under your leadership to address the climate.

“Mashrafe bin Murtaza is our pride, an icon of the young society. By keeping these celebrities in protecting the environment, they can make an important contribution. “

Professor Khandaker Bazlul Haque is the chair of the subcommittee on forests and the environment. Delwar is the members’ secretary.

Apart from Mashrafe, six other deputies have been included in the subcommittee.

They are Saber Hossain Chowdhury, Dipankar Talukder, Zafar Alam, Amirul Alam Milon, Nahid Izahar Khan, and Mumtaz Begum.

16 people have been included in the subcommittee as experts.
