Nobel laureate economist Amartya Sen is again under attack by the BJP. In response to Nobel laureate economist Amartya Sen’s comments on anti-conversion laws in India, West Bengal BJP President Dilip Ghosh said that he (Amartya Sen) had no moral right to speak because he had married three women of three religions.

According to the Hindustan Times, BJP Chairman Dilip Ghosh made the comments in response to Amartya Sen’s comments on the profit jihad on Tuesday.

He said: “Amartya Sen said:“ There can be no jihad in love. Laws against proselytism in various states governed by the BJP are unconstitutional. “He has been married three times in three religions. He has no moral right to speak.

Regarding Amartya Sen, he added, “we are not willing to listen to the politics of those who have fled the country, who do not meet with the people of the country, who have not met in times of crisis such as cyclone Ampan or epidemics.”

On Monday Amartya Sen said about the laws against conversion and ‘love jihad’ in various BJP-ruled states: ‘There can be no jihad by marrying someone you love.’

In an interview with NDTV, he said: “This law seems to interfere with people’s freedom. The right to life is recognized as a fundamental human right. Human rights are being violated as a result of this law. If the people want to, You can change your religion to another religion. It is recognized in the constitution. So this law is unconstitutional

He further said: “The Supreme Court should intervene in this matter now. A case must be filed in the Supreme Court to declare this law unconstitutional. This is a very important problem. There is no such case in the history of India. In Akbar’s time, there was a rule that anyone could adopt any religion and marry any religion. We have that culture in our country. Our constitution is clear about the protection of personal liberty. Such a law violates the constitution.
