Jewel returned to the country from Saudi Arabia and filed a fraud case in the name of gold with the Mohammadpur Police Station of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) on Thursday. Tejgaon Division Mohammadpur Area Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Mrityunjay De Sajal and Mohammadpur Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abdul Latif told NTV Online on Thursday evening .

The OC said: ‘The two fell in love first on Facebook. According to the plaintiff Jewel, from the beginning of the relationship, Swarna used to take money from her under various pretexts. At one stage they were also married. Swarna also took money to buy a flat after marriage. The plaintiff claims that he has received a 7 lakh crore 80 lakhs in this way. Finally, Jewel was asked to file for a divorce. Earlier, Jewel claimed that an attempt had been made to blackmail her by taking offensive photographs of her. Then he sued. We arrested Swarna after the case. I am questioning Swarna for more details.

Meanwhile, ADC Mrityunjay De Sajal told NTV Online: The money was delivered through the bank at different times. Also, you have promised to pay a lot of money, but you do not have any written documents.

Citing the plaintiff in the case, Mrityunjay De Sajal said: ‘They were married in March 2019. At that time Swarna claimed to be a widow in the cabinet letter. But he has a family. Swarna told him that Jewel had been divorced earlier this year. Jewel then returned to the country in February. Today he presented a case without seeing any path.

The ADC further stated: “Before filing the case, Jewel went to the marriage and divorce branch of Dhaka North City Corporation. But when you go there, you may find that no divorce letter has arrived in your name even then. Jewel also told me that Swarna could not show any documents. Jewel’s case statement showed evidence of her Facebook and WhatsApp conversations and various problems.
