A cleaner at a garment factory in Sadar upazila of Manikganj has been accused of killing her by blowing air into her anus. Police arrested four garment workers at the factory in the incident.

Dead cleaner. Julhas (39) hails from the village of Kandapara in Saturia upazila of Manikganj. His father’s name is Abdus Samad. He used to work at Akij Textile Mill in the Chandirchar Golra area of Sadar Upazila. He died yesterday afternoon at Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital.
Police said Julhas became seriously ill when four colleagues injected air into her anus with a compressor around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday. He was taken to the Sadar District Hospital emergency department at night. Julhas was advised by the doctor on duty to transfer her to Dhaka for better treatment. Julhas’ family members took him to Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital. She died around 4 p.m. yesterday while receiving treatment there.
Bhaskar Saha further said: “Last night Julhas’s wife, Zulekha Begum, filed a murder case against four factory workers. Meanwhile, four defendants – Vijay Hossain, Sohail Rana, Labu Mia and Samir Ali – have been arrested.
