According to local sources, the locals blocked Mamunul Haque, including a woman, in room 501 at the Royal Resort in Sonargaon. Later the police came to rescue him.
Mamunul Haque claimed the woman as his second wife. He went to the resort with Amina.
Narayanganj Police Superintendent Mohammad Zaidul Alam said Maulana Mamunul Haque was staying in a room at the Royal Resort below the Sonargaon Police Station in Narayanganj. After receiving the news, the police headed there.
Maulana Mamunul Haque told police that the woman accompanying him was his second wife. Later, the police rescued him from there safely.
