The number of people infected with coronavirus has increased in the country since October. The rate of new infections and deaths has also increased. Speakers spoke at a webinar titled ‘Strengthening Protection Against the Covid Epidemic’ hosted by the BUET Alumni Association on Thursday morning. Munir Uddin Ahmed, Acting President of the BUET Alumni Association, addressed the seminar.
The opening speech was given by Kazi M Arif, the organization’s Advertising and Publications secretary. He recalled the late national professor Jamilur Reza Chowdhury and said that the BUET Alumni Association under his leadership had started working on the corona shortly after the coronavirus infection began in the country. These activities have continued.
At the seminar, BUET Vice Chancellor Satyaprasad Majumder said that during the coronation period, students could not do anything outside of home study. They are in financial crisis. Many have been emotionally depressed. To do this, in addition to teaching online, you have to keep them happy through cultural activities.
