Cox’s Bazar: The ‘MV Bay-One’ cruise, one of the greatest ‘Maritime Tourism’ attractions in the world, joins the Cox’s Bazar tourism industry. Rich in all modern conveniences, this pleasure boat will run on the Cox’s Bazar-Saint Martin route.

The luxury cruise will depart from Chittagong’s Paienen Water Bus Terminal on Sunday (December 20). The fast-moving ship will reach St. Martin’s from Cox’s Bazar in just three hours.

The opening ceremony of the ship was organized in Paienen in Chittagong city on Sunday at 2pm. The Minister of State for Civil Aviation and Tourism, Mahbub Ali, will inaugurate the trip.

The ship has a variety of facilities including upscale restaurants and presidential suites. There is also accommodation for a good night. The ship was imported with funding from Karnafuli Ship Builders, a renowned shipbuilder in the country.

Hossain Islam Bahadur, coordinator of the Bay-One cruise in Cox’s Bazar, said the International Maritime Organization (IMO) -registered Star of the High Sea vessel ‘Bay One’ has a capacity of about 2,000 people. With a length of 121 meters and a draft of 5.3 meters, the ship can sail at a maximum speed of 24 nautical miles. The ship was built by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries in Kobei, Japan. Another cruise ship, the Karnafuli Express, launched on the Cox’s Bazar-Saint Martin route last year, but it has a capacity of just 500 people. And ‘Bay One’ has capacity for two thousand people. It is now the largest cruise ship in Bangladesh. Not only domestic routes, but also IMO registered ships have the opportunity to operate on international routes.

It will transport passengers from the BIWTA pier in Nuniarchhara in Cox’s Bazar every morning to St. Martin’s. You will leave Cox’s Bazar at 8 am and arrive in St. Martin at 11 am. The train will leave St. Martin at 4 pm and arrive at Cox’s Bazar at 6 pm.
