The name of a woman named Nazma Akhter Lupa Talukder, aka Lupa Begum, came up after the rescue of 9-year-old child florist Zinnia from Narayanganj, who was abducted from the TSC area of Dhaka University.
The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Detective Division (DB) has already arrested Lupa Talukder in connection with Zinnia’s abduction.
DB officials have begun questioning him in a two-day pretrial detention.
Meanwhile, his villagers have provided sensational information about Luper.
Luper’s house is in the Galachipa junction of the Patuakhali district. A murder case against Lupa and his ex-husband has also been registered at the Galachipa police station. However, Lupa and her family were acquitted of the case due to their political influence.
However, the locals know the family as the murderers of women and children.
According to the investigation, the murder case was registered against Lupa and her relatives in 2003 at the Galachipa Police Station in Patuakhali. Case No. 1 dated (1/6/03), Section 374/302/201/34 Penal Code.
According to the investigation report in the case, Looper’s (ex) husband raped a domestic worker named Shahinur. When Shahinur became pregnant, the matter came to light. Later, Lupa kidnapped her husband Shahinur and their baby, put them in a trawler, smothered them, packed them up and threw them into the river. Lupa, her late father Habibur Rahman aka Nanna Mia Talukder, her two deceased brothers Mostafizur Rahman aka Liton Talukder, Mostainur Rahman aka Likan Talukder, husband of Lupar Rafiqul Islam Badal aka Shahid Badal, Sujan, Hakim Ali, Seraj Mia, Ali Hossain Introduced indictments in court against several people, including Ishaq Ali, alias Ishaq Ali.
Later, in 2013, the defendant Lupa and his family members were released for political reasons.
Lupa was acquitted of the murder case at the behest of several local Awami League leaders at the time.
The locals gave other explosive information about Luper.
They said they know that Lupa has been married four times so far. However, they also have the idea that this number may be less written.
The locals also said that Lupa claimed to be a journalist. The “press script” used to be a motorcycle. He is friends with many leaders of the local journalists’ organization. But his studies did not progress after the CSS. He introduced himself as the CEO of a television channel called ‘Agni TV’. He introduced himself as a staff correspondent for a private television channel. Lupa has misappropriated the money of many locals with all those false identities. Recently, they learned that Tk 13 lakh had been taken from two people in Patuakhali. The DB research team has confirmed this information.
According to various DB officials, Lupa Begum is involved in various criminal activities as a journalist. Allegations of various types of fraud, including drugs, have been found against her. At the moment, he is being questioned about the Zinnia kidnapping.
Luper claimed in pretrial detention Wednesday that he wanted to raise Zinnia.
However, Lupa could not confirm the veracity of such a statement to DB officials. Investigators couldn’t believe Looper’s statement.
Mishu Biswas, DB’s Ramna Region Additional Deputy Commissioner, who is investigating the Zinnia abduction case, said Looper’s record was not good. His home is in Patuakhali. There he was accused of murdering a pregnant woman. There are many complaints about his life. We are now investigating whether Looper has any links to the trafficking of children and women. We assume that Lupa kidnapped the girl Xenia from his plan to commit immoral acts with her after she was raised.
Mishu Biswas further said that he did not believe Luper’s claim about raising Zinnia, adding that the house where Zinnia was being held belonged to one of Lupa Talukdar’s alleged sisters. Lupa did not accept her mother’s consent when she took Xenia away. Although we informed the Shahbagh Police Station about this, we believed their words. But he kidnapped the girl and held her at the home of the alleged sister. Lupa Talukdar’s daughter was with him on the day of the incident. The police are looking for him.
By the way, the last time Zinnia was seen at the Suhrawardy Udyan gate adjacent to the TSC around 9pm, her mother, Senura Begum, saw her eating phukka with two unidentified women. The hadith of Zinnia has not been found since.
The next day (September 2) Senura Begum went to the Shahbagh Police Station and kept a general diary (GD). Finally, on the night of September 6, the police rescued the sweet girl Zinnia from the home of Lupa Talukder’s alleged sister.
