Police have recovered the body of a schoolgirl named Itu (14) from the Paschimpara area of Kuthurakanda in Sherpur Sadar Upazila. A note was also recovered from the scene after the student’s body was recovered in broad daylight on Thursday (December 10). His family confirmed that it was Itu’s handwritten note.
Itu became introverted when her boyfriend Rashed fell in love with and raped her more than once. But when her boyfriend Rashed denied it, the eighth-class student at the local New Kundi school committed suicide by writing a note and hanging herself, which is mentioned in her note.
According to police and family sources, Itur, the daughter of Rahmatullah, a businessman based in the Kuthurakanda Paschimpara area of Dhaka in Sherpur Sadar Upazila, has a long-standing love affair with Rashed, another schoolboy from the Purbapara area in the same village. At one point, Itur-Rashed had a physical relationship more than once with the help of friends. As a result, when Itu became introverted, her boyfriend Rashed denied the love story, that Itu committed suicide by writing an embarrassing note. Sherpur Sadar police recovered the deceased girl’s body along with notes in the evening.
According to the notes, Itu and Rashed developed a love story with the help of Mausumi, Meghla Sajeda, Azad, Khushi, Nishi, Shafiq, Mosharraf, and Mainal. So they have more than one physical relationship.
It was mentioned in the note that all of them, including Rasheed’s uncle Tamjid, ended their life together. They were told not to forgive.
The officer in charge of the Sherpur Sadar police station, Abdullah Al Mamun, said that police recovered the body of the girl named Itu from a house in her home at night. A note was found at this time. The body has been sent to Sherpur District Hospital for autopsy. If the allegation is true, action will be taken.
