A legal notice was sent to Rafiqul Islam, a popular children’s speaker, for holding a waz-mahfil with the title ‘Madani’ at the end of his name without having studied at the University of Medina.
The notice was sent on Monday (February 15) by Supreme Court attorney Shariful Hasan Khan on behalf of Maulana Rafiqul Islam Madani, a former student of the University of Medina. The notifier Maulana Rafiqul Islam Madani is the Emir of the Medina branch of Hefazat-e-Islam Bangladesh and a core member of the organization.
The ad, addressed to the child speaker Rafiqul Islam, read: “You have been using the title ‘Madani’ illegally for a long time, even though you have studied at Medina University and have not lived in Medina Monoara, which is unfair. the title ‘Madani’ with her own name for the sole purpose of deceiving people and deceptively concealing the truth for the sake of immoral gain. Which is completely immoral and illegal.
The notice further stated that since my client Maulana Rafiqul Islam, Madani has been known by name for over 25 years using the title ‘Madani’ in all circles at home and abroad. So even after my client verbally asked you to refrain from this immoral act more than once, you continue with your immoral and illegal act without complying with the request.
Therefore, within 15 days of receiving the notification, the child speaker Rafiqul Islam has been asked to stop using the title ‘Madani’ and to refrain from using the word ‘Madani’ in his own identity. Otherwise, legal action will be taken against the marriage, the notice said.
