Going to the land office to get the service is accompanied by reports of bullying and harassment. The Hossainpur Land Office in Kishoreganj has taken an exceptional initiative to alleviate the suffering of the population. Mobile land service activities have been started here to bring territorial office services to the people’s doorsteps. Hossainpur (Land) Deputy Commissioner Wahiduzzaman has taken up this creative initiative for the first time in the district.

It is known that there are six unions in Hossainpur upazila. AC Land will be present with a full office two days a week at each union. In this initiative, any land-related issues including e-namjari application, namjari hearing (rejection), collection of approved namjari (DCR) and ledger, land development tax payment ( rent) will be resolved or notified immediately. Not only that, one day Chandina VT will renew the activities of this mobile land service in one day.

Upazila Nirbahi Officer ASM Zahidur Rahman officially launched the mobile ground service program at the Upazila Land Office facility last Sunday. The program started at Shahedal Union of the upazila the same day.

According to the Upazila Land Office, the names of 10 people were heard on the first day. 30 people have paid rent for their land. In addition, more than 50 people came together to seek advice on various land-related issues. AC Land advised them what to do after hearing about their problems.

The land mobile service initiative has already generated a lot of interest among the people. Golap Mia from Shahedal Union, who came for the service, said: ‘We used to go from office to office to receive service. Now the land office goes to the people. This will save us time and money. You don’t have to fall into the clutches of racers. I will be able to reject land and pay rent in the area.

AC Land told Kaler Kantha: “This initiative has been taken with the benefit of the common man in receiving services from the land in mind. We will go to each union one or two days a week. A procedure has already been developed. As part of this, the land mobile service will arrive at Araibaria Union on October 15. There we will sit at Jamail Bazaar. I will bring the service on October 18 to Gangatia zamindarbari of the Gobindpur union. In this way, the land mobile service will be provided to all unions in phases. He said they will go to the field 9 days a month with services. The service will be available in Hossainpur Township, Shahedal Union, Araibaria, Gobindpur, Sidla, Jinari and Pumdi Unions.
