Dhaka: Ghoraghat Upazila Nirbahi (UN) officer Wahida Khanam from Dinajpur, who was seriously injured in the attack, has regained consciousness after undergoing surgery. Currently, doctors are monitoring him in the hospital ICU.

However, his general health has not yet been decided. After further observations, the medical board will decide on the matter. However, her condition is stable today.

Speaking to banglanews on Friday (September 4) at 11:15 am, the deputy director of the Hospital of the National Institute of Neurosciences in the capital, Prof. Dr. Badrul Alam.

He said UNO Waheeda was transferred from the operating room to the ICU the night after his head surgery. His consciousness returned at night. He is currently under observation in the ICU.

If you want to know your fitness level, Dr. Badrul Alam said now is not the time to decide on your fitness. On Saturday (September 5) our medical board members will sit on this issue, after which the doctors will decide on this issue. You will be informed about this later.

However, at present, UNO Wahid’s physical condition is stable, he said.

“We hope to get UNO Wahida out of ICU on Saturday,” Mohammad Zahid Hossain, head of the neurosurgery department at Hospital for Neurosciences, told banglanews. I won’t say anything about his physical condition right now. We will sit down and announce the decision on Saturday.

Earlier on Thursday (September 3), an eight-member medical team performed a complex operation on UNO Waheed’s head in a two-hour effort.

After the surgery, doctors kept him under observation for 72 hours. Although he is hopeful for an immediate recovery, he is still not sure.

After surgery at 12pm on Thursday night. Zahid Hossain said: “ONE Wahid had seven or eight pieces of broken bones in his head. We have put them together.” The bones have been placed two by two. The rest of the smaller cuts have been repaired.

We are optimistic but it is a traumatic brain injury, bleeding inside the head and brain trauma. There was a tension in the brain, which eased. But right now we cannot say that the patient will improve.

He said it will take time. We will monitor your status for at least 72 hours. We hope that the patient improves, the rest is God’s trust.

In response to another question, he said that his right side was paralyzed. I hope it is reversed, it will be active. But it will take some time.

Earlier, he was taken to the hospital operating room for surgery around 9 pm. His CT scan was done before he was taken there. After controlling his blood pressure, the doctors decided to operate on him.
Previously, doctors said the left side of Wahid’s head was more damaged. Some parts of the head break off and create pressure on the brain. It has been decided to operate on him in the hope that his condition will improve if it is removed.

On Wednesday (September 2), criminals broke the fan in UNO Wahida’s official residence, entered the house and attacked Wahida and her father. ONE was seriously injured in the head and her father was stabbed with a sharp weapon.

Later, UNO was admitted for the first time to Rangpur Medical College Hospital (RAMEC). After that, his condition was critical and he was taken to Dhaka by helicopter for better treatment. He is currently undergoing treatment at the Hospital of the National Institute of Neurosciences in the capital.
