The influential sister of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has warned the United States to stop sleeping.

He made the threat at a time when top officials in US President Joe Biden’s administration began touring Japan and South Korea.

The AFP news agency quoted state media on Tuesday.

On Monday, Pentagon chief Lloyd Austin and US Secretary of State Anthony Blinkin visited Japan for the first time.

They are on a tour to strengthen military alliances against North Korea and China with nuclear weapons.

“If you want to get a good night’s sleep for the next four years, you must not create a situation from the beginning that will rob you of sleep,” Kim Jong Un said in a statement, referring to the new Washington president.

One of Kim Jong Un’s most trusted advisers is his sister Yoo Jung. When inter-Korean tensions escalated last year, he was seen as playing a key role.

Pyongyang’s state newspaper Rodong Sinmun reported that in a statement, his sister told the new US administration that they were trying to spread gunpowder on our soil.

Former US President Donald Trump met with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un while in power. Although Washington has announced nuclear disarmament in North Korea, no progress has been made in that process.

North Korea has international sanctions for its nuclear program.
