Khulna Power Company Limited (KPCL) assistant engineer (mechanical) Imran Mahmud (26) has committed suicide by writing a note.
He committed suicide by hanging himself with a fan in a three-story KPCL dormitory room behind Khalishpur Hospital in Upazila on Wednesday afternoon. Notes were found next to the body of the deceased.
In the notes he did not blame anyone for his death. The cost of your burial and the creditor’s money are asked to be paid from there with your bank account number.
Imran’s village house is in the Gopalganj district.
KPCL General Manager Rezaul Karim confirmed the matter.
Imran’s colleagues said they were looking for Imran Mahmood as he did not join the morning shift. He was later found hanging in a bedroom.
Imran got married two years ago. His village house is in Gopalganj. However, no one could say the motive for Imran’s suicide. However, I heard that your wife sent a letter of divorce a few days ago.
Khalishpur OC Kazi Mostaq Ahmed Police Station said police rushed to the scene after receiving information that a KPCL engineer had committed suicide.
However, it is believed that he may have committed suicide due to a family dispute.
