Criminals shot and killed a homeowner in the Khilgaon area of the capital while renting a house. The incident took place around 9pm on Wednesday. Mominur Rahman, the owner of the injured house, underwent surgery after being admitted to Dhaka Medical College. He filed a case against the unidentified criminals at the Khilgaon Police Station on Thursday morning.
The Officer-in-Charge (CO) of Khilgaon Police Station, Farukul Alam, confirmed the information. He said the incident took place in the Nazdarpar area of Khilgaon around 9pm yesterday. Mominur Rahman and his family live in South Goran. He has a wooden house, a shop and a fish farm in Nazdarpara.
The OC said Mominur went to his shop and fish farm every morning and returned home at night. Three people came by motorcycle at around 9pm yesterday to rent a house. At one point, they argued and shot Mominur with a pistol. The bullet hit Mominur in the right knee. His relatives took him home after surgery at Dhaka Medical College in the evening. He has filed a lawsuit in connection with the shooting. The incident is under investigation. An operation is underway to arrest the criminals.
