Janaza has been celebrated in the prayers of Maulana Noor Hossain Qasemi, Secretary General of Hefazat-e-Islam. Funeral services were held at 9 a.m. on Monday (December 14) at the Baitul Mukarram National Mosque.
Maulana Noor Hossain Qasemi was the general secretary of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Bangladesh, a partner party of the BNP-Jamaat alliance. He was also Secretary General of Hefazat-e-Islam, Co-Chair of Al-Hayatul Ulaya Lil-Jami’atil Qawmia Bangladesh, Senior Vice President of Befaqul Madarisil Arabia Bangladesh and Muhtamim of Jamia Madania Baridhara Madrasa in Dhaka.
Although it was initially announced that his janaza would take place on the National Eidgah, it was decided to perform it on Baitul Mukarram as permission was not granted.
Nur Hossain Qasemi, general secretary of Hefazat-e-Islam and Jamiat-e-Ulama-e-Islam, died at 12:50 pm on Sunday. Sajjadur Rahman, United Hospital public relations officer, told the Shubh Bangla Tribune this. Confirmed.
However, Maulana Munir Ahmed, press secretary to Hifazat’s secretary general, had been claiming that his corona test report was negative. But hospital authorities said he was infected with corona. He also had lung problems.
