The ‘Justice Shahabuddin Ahmed’ park, known as Gulshan Tank Park, has been redesigned at a cost of Tk 16 crore.

The nine-acre park has a walkway and bike path, plus about 1,700 trees of different species. There are five types of walking trails in this park. Red brick, concrete block, green grass path, WPC (wood-plastic composite) plank path and elasto pave the bike path path.

It is a community park adjacent to the embassy area in the Gulshan area of ​​Dhaka city. After several meetings with the people involved in the design of the park, the park users and representatives of various social organizations, various entertainment arrangements have been made for the elderly and women, young and old, children and adolescents.

The park has restrooms (male and female) for users, a gymnasium with a bathroom, a prayer place with a bathroom, a canteen and six kiosks with seats, a press release from Dhaka North City Corporation said on Saturday.

A library with Bangabandhu Corner has been installed in the park. In addition to trimming the three ponds, a rich walkway with three viewpoints has been built around the reservoir.

The Dhaka Green Open Stage (amphitheater) has been built on the lawn with a capacity of 400 people on the northwest slope of the reservoir. In front of the open stage, there is a performance platform built over the reservoir and an artificial water fountain that comes out of the reservoir.

An outdoor basketball court for youth and a badminton court have also been built. In addition to the indoor and outdoor gyms, various rides have been organized for the children (purchase is in progress).

The CCTV control room has been created as part of the park management, from where the park can be controlled 24 hours a day. Visitors can enjoy the beauty of the entire park from the top by climbing the stairs to the fourth floor next to this control room.
