Police arrested six people in connection with the attack on the Naddar convoy in Ustir Shirakol and Miss Dostipur. Usti police arrested 4 people. Missing the police has arrested 3 people. The detainees were brought to Diamond Harbor ACJM court on Friday afternoon.
Meanwhile, BJP Central Observer Kailash Vijayavargiya and other leaders will meet with party officials at the BJP South Parganas East District Committee office in Baruipur at 3pm on the same day. Tensions have risen since Thursday morning around the Naddar party meeting at the Light House grounds in Sultanpur, Diamond Harbor. As the day progressed, grassroots protests in Diamond Harbor, Sarishahat, Ustir Shirakol, and the Hatuganj area of Kulpir intensified due to the demand for repeal of the Central Agriculture Law. The police were overwhelmed by the pressure of the crowd of thousands of people. 116 national highways were blocked. At around 12:30 pm, Naddar’s convoy faced the anger of the people at the Shirakol intersection. It is alleged that several vehicles were vandalized by throwing bricks when the convoy vehicle stopped. BJP State President Dilip Ghosh, Mukul Roy, Kailash Vijayvargiya and several other activists were injured in the attack. The situation is out of control before the mob, the police resorted to the load of baton in the convoy to happen. Ignoring obstacles from grassroots activists and supporters, Naddar’s convoy again faced a similar situation in Sarishahat around 1pm. The BJP alleges that bricks were thrown at convoys from grassroots protests everywhere.

After the incident, the state police tweeted: “BJP President for All India JP Nadda arrived safely at the meeting place in Diamond Harbor.” Nothing happened in his convoy. In Debipur, Missing, some people standing on the side of the road scatter bricks in the car far behind their convoy. Everyone is safe and the situation is under control.
