Joe Biden and Kamala Harris were named Person of the Year

Newly elected US President Joe Biden and his running mate Kamala Devi Harris have been named Person of the Year by Time magazine, one of the world’s most influential magazines based in New York.

Edward Felsenthal, editor-in-chief of Time magazine, told CNN, citing US-based media outlets, that Joe Biden dreamed of changing America’s history, showing that the power of empathy is far greater than the rage of division and turning to a painful world. According to the report, Biden and Kamala made history by losing to Donald Trump on November 8. Kamala Harris became the first black woman and vice president in American history.
