Newly elected US President Joe Biden and his running mate Kamala Devi Harris have been named Person of the Year by Time magazine, one of the world’s most influential magazines based in New York.
Edward Felsenthal, editor-in-chief of Time magazine, told CNN, citing US-based media outlets, that Joe Biden dreamed of changing America’s history, showing that the power of empathy is far greater than the rage of division and turning to a painful world. Or Kamala Harris, that’s why they have been selected as the best personality of the year 2020, he added.
According to the report, Biden and Kamala made history by losing to Donald Trump on November 8. Kamala Harris became the first black woman and vice president in American history. On the other hand, Eric Ewan, CEO of Zoom, has been named Business Person of the Year for his role in commerce. A total of three people have been selected, including Anthony Fawcett.
