The organizing secretary of the district Awami League, Sharmin Moushumi Keka, was expelled from the party on various charges, including torturing a woman in Jhalokati, cutting her hair, demolishing a school’s Shaheed Minar and building a trading post. The decision was made at an emergency meeting of the district Awami League at the party’s town hall office on Monday evening. The district Awami League office secretary, Shahidul Islam, said the meeting’s decision would be sent to the center.

Some leaders of the Awami League present at the meeting said that the district Awami League had called an emergency meeting to take organizational measures against Sharmin Mausumi Kekar. Sharmin Mausumi Keka has been carrying out anti-organizing activities from an important position in the party. She is tarnishing the reputation of the district Awami League by committing various misdeeds. The leaders who attended the meeting recommended that Keka be expelled from the party. A party source confirmed that the decision was made on the instructions of Jhalakati-2 MP Amir Hossain Amur.

If Keka doesn’t stop now, he will ruin the Awami League’s respect. So the center will be recommended for expulsion from the team.

A case was brought against six individuals, including the district Awami League organization secretary, Sharmin Mousumi Keka, and the city’s BNP secretary general, Anisur Rahman Tapu, in the Abuse of Women and Children Suppression Court of Jhalokati-1 on September 18 for abducting a woman and cutting her hair after ransom and torture. . The case was registered at the Sadar police station at night by order of the court.

Furthermore, Kekar ​​is accused of illegally constructing trading posts by demolishing the Shaheed Minar of Sugandha Municipal Adarsh ​​Madhyamik Balika Vidyalaya in Jhalokati and destroying the playground. He was widely criticized for this incident. He is also accused of having an affair with the controversial leader Papia.
