It is shameful not to accept Trump’s defeat: Biden

Although he lost the US presidential election this time, Donald Trump is unwilling to accept it. Newly elected President Joe Biden said it was “shameful” not to accept his defeat. However, Biden said nothing could stop Trump from handing over power.

This information was given in a BBC report on Wednesday.

Although Trump’s defeat has been reported in various US outlets, Trump has claimed on Twitter that he will be the winner in the end.

The BBC reports that a journalist asked Biden yesterday what he thought of Trump’s refusal to accept defeat. “Frankly, I think it’s embarrassing,” said Biden, of Wilmington, Delaware.

According to a CNN report, the Trump camp is divided on whether to accept victory or defeat in the US elections, and even members of his family. President Donald Trump’s wife Melania Trump and daughter-in-law Jared Kushner advised him to accept defeat, but their two sons, Donald Jr. and Eric, are in favor of continuing the fight. Additionally, Trump’s advisers are trying to persuade him to accept defeat, CNN reported.

Democratic candidate Joe Biden has received 279 electoral votes so far, according to the latest New York Times data. And Republican candidate Donald Trump got 214 votes. However, some media outlets reported the victory in Arizona, with the Biden Electoral College garnering 290 votes.

Georgia, Arizona, North Carolina and Alaska have yet to announce the results, according to the New York Times. There are a total of 45 electoral votes in the states. Among them, Biden is ahead in Georgia and Arizona and Trump is ahead in North Carolina and Alaska. Electoral votes in North Carolina and Alaska were 15 and three, respectively.
