When asked if any action would be taken against the newspaper that published the report, the minister said: “We are not thinking about it yet. Since he wrote a magazine, the number was published. We will see how true it is and through whom they got it. It remains to be seen why they published it before the trial. Those who have published have not done the right thing. ‘

He said the matter would be reviewed to prevent such incidents in the future.

When asked about the investigation report, the minister said he did not want to comment on the matter as it was a court matter.

“We have recently received an investigative report,” he said. A committee headed by the Additional Secretary of the Ministry of the Interior will review the report. We will decide what to do next. This is a case under investigation and trial. If the judge thinks you need this report in your jurisdiction, we will give it to you if you want it. If you don’t want to, we won’t give it to them.

The minister said every effort will be made to make the report fair. “Currently, the RAB is investigating under the direction of the court,” he said. We don’t want any report to come out before your report and affect the investigation, and neither do the judges.

The investigative report of the committee formed by the Interior Ministry on the murder of Major (retd) Sinha in Teknaf, Cox’s Bazar was presented to Interior Minister Asaduzzaman Khan on Monday.
