Development, rocket and cash (MFS) through the Tanimukhi wage workers will have to pay the cost of Rs 4 per thousand. Bank of Bangladesh on Thursday gave the instructions.

Currently, it costs Rs 15-16 to raise Rs 1,000 for services. But as a result of today’s instructions from the Bank of Bangladesh, workers will get the benefit of withdrawing money from MFS for a small fee.

In accordance with Bank of Bangladesh instructions sent to all MFS, the government has instructed to provide special loans to workers and employees through bank and mobile bank accounts for payment of wages and allowances to workers and employees of export-oriented industries. In the case of the payment of wages under this scheme, in view of the interests of the workers and employees, in some cases, only the adoption of costs and some incentives are requested. In that case, a Tk 6 fee may be charged for withdrawing Tk 1,000. From this, the lending bank will pay Tk 4 and the worker will pay Tk 4.

In the context of Corona, the government has established a Rs 5 billion fund to pay the wages of export-oriented factory workers. The central bank has given the policy of managing the fund. Under the policy, banks will send money from wages directly to workers. Those without an account are asked to take the initiative to open a mobile bank account based on the National Identity Card (NID) and the birth registration certificate.

In light of this, around 28 Lakh workers have opened new mobile banking accounts to obtain wages and subsidies. These accounts are open from April 5 to 20.

The nation’s largest mobile financial services provider (MFS) is at the forefront of opening new worker accounts. Since then, more accounts have been opened at Dutch-Bangla Bank’s ‘Rocket’ and ‘Cash’ postal department financial services.
