Israel has launched a new missile strike against the T-4 airbase in the central Syrian province of Homs.

The attacker struck shortly after 10:23 am Wednesday in the southern Syrian city of Al-Tanaf, targeting a T-4 air base. The Syrian state news agency SANA reported.

Sana’s report, citing a military source, said that the Syrian air defense force was able to shoot down most of the missiles and that there was only some material damage.

Two days earlier, the Israeli occupation forces attacked a military base south of the Syrian capital, Damascus. Two soldiers were killed and seven others were injured in the attack. Monday’s attack was carried out by Israeli forces from the occupied Golan Heights.

Since 2011, Syria has been dealing with violence from foreign-backed extremists. The Syrian government says the United States and Israel are providing all kinds of support to these terrorists. Now Israel is trying to boost the morale of the terrorists by launching occasional attacks on the Syrian army and military installations to prevent their downfall.
