The RAB raided Haji Selim’s home on Devi Das Lane in Sowari Ghat on Monday afternoon after striking a naval officer in Dhanmondi the night before.
Irfan Chowdhury used to live on the third and fourth floors of the nine-story building. RAB officials said they found two unlicensed foreign pistols, an ammunition round, an air pistol, 36 walkie-talkies, a wife, and foreign liquor and beer.
Irfan and his bodyguard Mohammad Zahid were arrested at the home and sentenced to one year in prison for drinking alcohol and using walkie-talkies.
At the end of the operation, members of the RAB removed Irfan and Zahid from the house around 8:10 pm.
