Dhaka: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina congratulated Joe Biden on his election as the 46th President of the United States and Kamala Devi Harris on his election as Vice President. He also invited them to visit Bangladesh.

On Sunday (November 8), the Prime Minister’s Press Wing reported that Sheikh Hasina sent the congratulations in two separate messages to Joe Biden and Kamala Harris.

In his congratulatory message, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina expressed the hope that relations between Bangladesh and the United States will be further strengthened and mutual cooperation will be further improved.

The Prime Minister expressed interest in working together to build a safe and prosperous world, including the return of displaced Rohingya, against evil terrorism and violent extremism.

The Prime Minister invited President Joe Biden, First Lady Jill Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris to visit Bangladesh.

The Prime Minister wished the President, First Lady, and Vice President of the United States and their families good health and well-being.

Democratic candidate Joe Biden won the US presidential election with 290 electoral votes out of a total of 538 electoral votes after a long wait and drama after drama. On the other hand, Trump obtained 214 electoral votes.

Democratic candidate and California Senator Kamala Devi Harris has been elected the first female vice president in US history. At the same time, Kamala became the country’s first African-American, African-American South Asian vice president.
