The Ministry of Mass Education requested on Tuesday the Director General of the Department of Primary Education to send to all schools the guidelines to reopen schools in compliance with public health and hygiene standards in the Covid-19 situation.
The department has also been asked to submit a proposal along with draft posters and brochures on the steps taken as part of the school opening process.
The ministry said the guidelines were formulated to aid in national preparation and implementation after a decision was made on when schools could reopen as part of an overall public health and education plan.

Children are reeling in a changing world
All educational institutions in the country have been closed since last March due to the coronavirus epidemic. Holidays in educational institutions have been extended until October 3.
The Prime Minister has already said that educational institutions will not open if the situation does not improve, even if everything else opens gradually. Health experts say the situation is not yet conducive to the opening of educational institutions.
In addition to deciding not to take the preliminary final exam, the ministry has also asked educational institutions to prepare for the self-approved if the annual exam is not taken.
According to the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education, the guidelines have been formulated taking into account the six dimensions of the reopening of schools, namely the establishment of policies, financing, safe operation, learning, guarantee of access to the most marginalized population and welfare / security measures.
In light of that five-page guideline, the steps to follow have also been explained in detail.
“This guideline will need to be constantly adapted and relevant to adapt to local realities and to meet the learning, health and safety needs of each child.”
