The Department of Secondary and Higher Education (Maushi) on Saturday sent instructions to the principals of private schools and universities and the principals of private secondary and lower secondary schools so that the lottery process is not affected in any way.
Other times, students were admitted by lottery into the first class and exams in the second through eighth classes, but this time students will be admitted by lottery in the first through ninth classes.
The application fee for the admission of students to these classes has been set at Rs 150.
Mausi says private high schools will be able to administer admissions through lotteries on their own.
“The Admissions Supervision and Monitoring Committee must be informed by setting the date of the lottery. Lottery activities must be carried out respecting social rules and maintaining social distance ”.
To ensure transparency and accountability in lottery activities, Mausi directed educational institutions to ensure the presence of the Admissions Oversight and Monitoring Committee, the School Admissions Management Committee, the Parent Representative, the Committee Representative of Management and the Representative of Teachers.
“To avoid public meetings due to the Corona situation, the lottery process must be advertised live on Facebook Live or any other social network.”
Above all, the directors of educational institutions have been instructed to ensure that the student selection process is not affected in any way by the lottery.
