Indigenous girl raped, detained in Feni

Feni: In Feni, an indigenous girl (18) has in turn been raped.

Feni Model police arrested rickshaw driver Riaz, 28, and salon clerk Chhotan Chandra Shil, 22, on Monday (October 19) morning.

The arrested rickshaw shooter Riaz is the son of Chadek from Jagbandhu Village under the Kamalnagar Police Station of Laxmipur District and the employee of the Chhotan Tavern is the son of Sameer Chandra Sheel from Dharmapur in Sitakunda of Chittagong District.

Feni Model Police Station Inspector (investigation) Mohammad Omar Haider told banglanews that rickshaw shooter Riaz raped the girl in front of Moktar’s house in the municipal garbage dump area on Sunday (October 18) at night on his way to BSIC. Later, Chhotan saw the girl alone in a rickshaw and raped her on the side of the main Dewanganj road. When the patrol police became suspicious in the morning, the girl was taken to the police station. The rapists were subsequently arrested in connection with the girl’s statement.

He said the girl’s home was in Khagrachhari. From there he came to Feni to go to his girlfriend’s house. His girlfriend worked at the Abul Khair match factory in the BSCIC industrial city of Feni.
