Educational institutions, some entertainment centers, movie theaters, some institutions, including various clubs, are closed. In the wake of the Corona epidemic, all other activities in the country have slowly returned to normal. In a letter delivered to all ministries and departments from the cabinet department on Monday, it has been indicated that normality will prevail in all matters in compliance with sanitary standards. With this, within six months of the Corona situation, the official instructions came that everything was almost normal. However, the ministries and departments concerned may take the necessary measures in those matters that they consider necessary to be strict.

Meanwhile, all educational institutions will remain closed until October 3, and the Interior Ministry has already announced the decision to transport normal passengers by public transport as of Tuesday. According to sources from the Cabinet Division, the necessary measures will be taken when necessary. For this reason, the government has lifted the ban on controlled movement in general. It should be noted that there was a 7-day general holiday across the country from March 26 to May 30 to prevent corona infection. After that, the government gave the opportunity to start activities in a limited range for a couple of months. In the next step, with a little more job opportunity, the opportunity for controlled movement runs through August 31. The Cabinet Division directive issued yesterday did not impose any conditions on limited or controlled movement.

In this regard, the Minister of State for Public Administrations, Farhad Hossain, said: “The government is giving importance to continue working on compliance with sanitary standards in the current situation.” However, decisions will be made in stages on some issues, including educational institutions and entertainment centers. He said that those who do not want to follow hygiene rules have been instructed to take strict action against those involved.

The directive issued by the Cabinet Division yesterday mentioned four issues. First, in the case of general movement of the public, their respective ministries and departments must take the necessary measures to ensure compliance with hygiene standards. Second, the use of masks at all times outside the residence, maintaining mutual distance and ensuring other hygiene standards. Third, district and district administrations, including the local government department, the information ministry, the religion ministry, and the health services department, will carry out massive publicity and public awareness activities to prevent corona. Fourth, there is talk of guaranteeing other appropriate legal measures, including the conduct of mobile courts, against individuals and organizations that violate hygiene provisions.

However, before the leadership of the government came along, people have come a long way towards normal activities. Cabinet Secretary Khandaker Anwarul Islam has held four rounds of meetings with some 70 government secretaries in the past month to assess the situation in Corona. Even in those meetings it was decided to return to normality while remaining cautious. Apart from this, opinions also come from the divisional commissioners and the district and upazila administrations regarding the development of normal activities. In this context, the government returned to normality, controlling some issues.
